5 CURRENT FAVOURITES.

Yes, the beret is one of them.
It has been about four months now since I have done one of these on my channel, and although I don’t miss doing them on a monthly basis, I do want to update you – every once in a while – on what I have been liking.
So here are my top 5 items at the moment!
#1 is makeup.
These 3 eyeshadow sticks are incredibly good, and I only recently received them but I’m already in love. I got them sent to try out, as they are from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s makeup line. They sent me a few other products, which I have to say, I do like, but these ones are my favourites so far! They are super pigmented and you can just smear them all over your eyelid and use your finger to get an amazing effect. They blend super easily, and over all I’m a big fan!
Find the makeup line here.
#2 is enamel pins.
I’m into them, big time. I started to collect them, I got them all out of Etsy shops and I’m afraid I can’t stop myself anymore. In the picture you see all of them, except for the crocodile one that was gifted to me from Felix, which I didn’t put on because for some reasons it’s very hard to open. Any suggestions on where I could find some cool ones? I need to expand this collection!
#3 is a snack.
If you have been around for a while, you might be aware of my love for Halva. I still don’t know if it’s originally from Greece, Turkey or Poland, but I just love it. So much. And the other day, when I found these ones wrapped in smaller bite-size portions, I was just too excited. Usually you have to buy a huge box and cut it yourself, but because I’m a bit lazy I end up taking a few sliced and then forget about it. Now that won’t happen anymore, because these are wrapped nicely so I can just bring them around with me and have a snack on the go!
#4 is another makeup item.
It’s from Tony Moly, who does the cutest cosmetic packagings, and it’s supposed to be a brightening base for your eyes, which I apply before concealer as a base. This product made it into my makeup routine, because instead of having to apply lots of concealer, I can just pop some product under my eyes and they instantly look better, without having to deal with concealer creasing on a daily basis.
#5 is this hat.
Here and there I like to go on the Lazy Oaf website, their stuff is pretty cool, but I usually wait until I find that one piece I need before I make a purchase. The other day Felix and I were having breakfast, and he showed me their new line, laughing at the “I’M UGLY” slogan on it. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but then I went back and saw this beret… I just had to have it! I know it might give the wrong idea to some people, but I just thought it looked adorable. And now I have it. And I’m very happy.
You can find it here.

Do you have any favourites to share with me?

Oh, it’s almost the weekend! Marzia.

GLAM SLAM.

Time for a fabulous board game.
A few weeks ago I received a package in the mail, coming from Soap & Glory. I knew exactly what it was going to be, because they actually asked me if I wanted to be a part of it, but due to my shyness, I said no (they simply asked if I could do one of the voices for the toy phone).
They were still kind enough to send me a copy of the board game once finished, and finally today I had some time to set it up and give it a go!
Basically, the game is inspired by “Dream Phone” from the 90s (I believe) – which I never played before, but the rules were super easy, so that wasn’t a problem. The cool thing about this is that you actually win the products at the end of the game: you are supposed to get ready for the dance, and once you collect an item for each category you get to go and take all of the makeup with you.
After preparing everything, I waited for Felix to get back home and after dinner I asked him to join me – I can’t begin to tell you how excited he was about the little phone recordings, haha.
I did not tell him that who ever won the game would get the makeup items… and he ended up winning. Hehehe. Huhuhuhuhu. BUAHAHAHAHA.
Out of all the new products they came out with, I’m actually super excited about the archery brow pencil; the powder version is my go-to, so now I get to try even this one out!
Anyway, I thought I would share this here because it was so lovely of Soap & Glory to send the game to me. Have you ever tried any of their products? And am I the only one who had that Nokia phone a while back? Memories are coming back.

Felix’s lips look so luscious! Marzia.

ANOTHER (ALMOST) RAINY DAY.

It kind of rains, but it kind of doesn’t.

MY OUTFIT // Sweater: OLIVE CLOTHING – Jeans: ASOS – Shoes: ASOS

Not a surprise, as I said is March… you never know what to expect by the weather these days.
Lately, I have been doing a bit more work than usual – I answered most of my business e-mails (which trust me, my inbox is a scary place); filmed a video, edited it in time for tomorrow; prepared to shoot again soon; worked on my spring clothing line; took care of shipping packages here and there… all because I’m getting ready to travel again.
After finishing up today, I rushed out the door to meet up with Emma. I bet you didn’t expect that, huh?
If you actually take a closer look at what I’m wearing, you will see how my sweater is covered in dog hair, and my socks might seem to be the same, but they are in fact two different black socks.
But hey, from far I look put together enough!
So I texted Emma to see if she was free to watch a movie and grab some food. She was, and so we went to see “How To Be Single”. It was fine, not great, but not bad either.
We didn’t stay out much, but I’m glad I got to see her so I could give her some gifts before I leave, one of which is actually my book!
Yes, I know it looks like I spelled Emma with only one “m” haha.

A few days ago I received some copies that I get to give out to my friends, and I have been having fun writing some notes for each of them. It’s so scary to think they are going to read my story, but at the same time I’m happy to gift them something I worked on and get their feedback on it.

So now I’m already home, it’s about 9.30pm here and I’m waiting for Felix and the pugs to arrive. In the meantime, I’m hugging these cuties (I found them on an Etsy store, aren’t they adorable?!) and writing on this diary.
How has your day been so far?
Remember to take a break, Marzia.

GUDETAMA EVERYWHERE

The lazy egg is here.

About a month ago Sanrio wrote me an e-mail, saying how they noticed how much I love their silly character and asked if I wanted to receive some gifts…

YES. YES YES. YES.
Please.
And so on Saturday, coming home from the pottery café, I saw a package by the door.
I recognised the stickers and instantly let out a scream of joy – Felix was with me and asked what happened.
It was really hard not to open it earlier, but I wanted to wait until I had enough time to write a post about it. When I finally could, I destroyed the package: rainbows came out of it, birds flew by me singing a lovely tune, tears of happiness streaming down my face…

Okay, okay. I might have exaggerated a bit.

The box was full of Gudetama goodies, they sent way more things than I expected, but I was – and still am – so happy and incredibly grateful.
On top there was an adorable pillow with the lazy egg all over it; some stickers (you all know how much I love my stickers) and a bunch of t-shirts with different designs, as well as a linen tote bag.

Then I noticed two smaller boxes, and when I opened them I found two cups inside, both so so cute. Felix was asking me if he could get one (even if he doesn’t admit it, he loves Gudetama as well, haha) and we were stuck at which one should go to who, because we both liked them so much and couldn’t decide. So for now, both cups belong to both of us (and with that I really mean me).
Something that surprised me was that they included snacks – which I was wishing for – but I never knew something like this was even possible: they managed to get Gudetama printed on marshmallows. How cool is that? I love that idea, I might just steal it for my “Marzia’s Box”, hehehe.
And finally, there was also an amazing plushy! I feel the need to thank Sanrio for the gifts, receiving this package really made my day.
Seriously, how adorable is Gudetama?

Let’s all chill today, Marzia.

POTTERY PAINTING.

As every Saturday, it was time for Felix and I to go on a date!
MY OUTFIT // Beret: ASOS – Glasses: RAY-BAN – Top: ASOS

I was googling places in Brighton I haven’t yet been to, and the Painting Pottery Café showed up.
Having an interest in anything crafty, this seemed like a super exciting thing to do, and so I dragged Felix to go with me.

The place is in the North Lanes, where all the cool independent shops are situated. I have walked by this café plenty of times, but never actually saw what it was all about, so yesterday, when we walked in for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised.
It’s a small area crowded by big tables, shelves full of pottery to pick from, and people of all ages focused on their artworks.
Felix and I decided to make one together: I spotted this strange monster creature, and that’s what we went for.
Initially, it wasn’t our intention to go as dark as we did, but I actually think it turned out really well! I did the entire body while Felix took care of the detailing.

Have you ever been to one of the places before? I was so surprised to find out that these kind of cafes are a thing, I never really heard of them before stumbling across this one. But I’m so glad I did, I would love to go back there to paint some more, and they even teach you how to make your own pottery if interested – I find that so cool!
It was a very lovely experience, definitely recommend you trying it out if you get the chance.

Don’t stare into his eyes  for too long, Marzia.

SQUEEZED INSIDE OF A MINI.

With a Swede, an Austrian and two Brits.
No, this is not the beginning of a joke.
Yesterday I filmed with my friend Emma, and after, we hang out with Brad, Felix and Michael.
We went for a movie first and then dinner. While reaching the Marina, which is the part of Brighton where the harbour is located in, I took a few photos on the way: the sky was incredibly stunning.
As we say in Italy, March is the “crazy weather” month, because one minute the sun might be shining, and the moment after rain is pouring down. This is quite common here in the UK all year-round, and yesterday was no exception.

MY OUTFIT // Necklace: BARBARA C. PELLEGRINO – Top: ASOS – Bag:BURBERRY
When we left, around 5pm, the twilight was mesmerising. By the time we came out form the cinema, it started to rain, but it was fine, as we sheltered into Zizzi, an Italian restaurant chain we like.
Walking to the car park was extremely challenging, not just because of the wind and cold rain hitting us, but because we could not figure out how to get to level 5, which is where we left our car. That was an adventure of its own!

nyway, I just quickly wanted to write a post and see how your weekend is going so far.
Do you have any special plans? How is the weather like where you live?

Stay dry, Marzia.

NUTELLA CHEESECAKE.

Also known as heaven.

Did I ever tell you that my favourite number is 3?
Clearly, today I woke up in such a great mood. I went up at 7 in the morning, went to the gym for the first time in years, showered, got lots of work done, and now, I even get to enjoy a lovely cheesecake!

This recipe is very simple but extremely tasty. I made a tiny cake instead of a full one, perfect to share with someone.
 You are going to need:
  • 100g of Nutella;
  • 100g of crème fraîche;
  • 6 oreo cookies;
  • 20g unsalted butter.
Step 1: The base.
Take your cookies and mash them into a paste. Add room temperature butter to blend everything together, and pour into your cake mould, using a spoon to level it out.
Step 2: The top.
Mix Nutella and crème fraîche into a bowl, then pour it on top of the base.
Step 3: Enjoy!
I decorated it with tiny white chocolate hearts, but you can leave it plain or add some whipped cream on top if you’d like. Place it into the fridge for about an hours. Honestly, I couldn’t resist the temptation and eat if after only 20 minutes, but it was still delicious!

I love Nutella, Marzia.
